Our main agenda item will be presentation and discussion of bargaining proposals developed by our Negotiating Committee over the last several months. Members are also encouraged to present their own additional bargaining proposals for consideration by the Committee. Contract negotiations with the University will be getting under way quite soon, so please do make a point of attending if you would like to make your views known and to have an opportunity to influence the collective bargaining process.
In addition, there will be an opportunity to elect an additional member to the Negotiating Committee in order to fill a vacancy which has recently emerged. All members in good standing of our Local are eligible, but the Committee would especially welcome nominations from women and other members of equity-seeking groups.
Also, we will take the opportunity to ratify the amendments to our By-Laws [pdf, 128 kb.] that were presented to the membership at the AGM in December.
